I really like the lighting. As you can see from the photos the actual bar is illuminated, which gives the restaurant a mellow amber glow. Very clean and the staff wanted to ensure my order was perfect, correct and tasty. I ordered to-go and had an amaretto sour while I waited. I decided to eat there because the bartender was generous đ, I call it a cruise ship cocktail when they are well spiked, domo arigato. Very nice selection of $5 cocktails.
The reason for the 4-stars for food is my food was a bit overly greasy and my wings a tad tough. The teriyaki sauce was yummy and not too salty, and yes I like salty. I didn't have sushi this visit but when I have in the past it was fresh and delicious.

Do not go here unless you want to be hugging the toilet 24/7. I came here with my little cousin the day before thanksgiving to introduce her to one of my fav foods which is sushi. I ordered two sushi rolls and she ordered one and ramen. She did not get her ramen until I said something about it. Every time I needed something I had to call out to my server as he walked right past my table. He never once asked if we needed something after giving us our sushi. Once we got home we were both hit with âfood poisoningâ which caused us to miss thanksgiving dinner for the first time in our lives. I mean that was my little cousin first experience so I thought she just couldnât stomach the sushi because I always eat sushi. I should not be running to the bathroom to regurgitate and drop liquid feces in the toilet every minute. My little cousin and I missed our thanksgiving dinner thanks to this restaurant. I just know sheâs never going to try sushi again because of this experience. Do not go here if you do not want to be hugging the toilet!
My husband and I loved the ambiance in Kobe Bar and Grill. We sat and shared a Thai tea while we waited on our food. I'm not a fan of sushi, but husband loved it, the crab rangoons were perfectly crunchy with sweet sauce and crab filling creating a wonderful balance to the flavor and texture. My parents enjoyed their dishes as well. That Thai tea quenched my thirst and satisfied my craving for tea. We'll have to go back when we have more time to spend in that ambiance.
The food was delicious! We ordered the paradise roll, cucumber avocado roll, and the passion roll along with chicken lo mein and steak fried rice. First of all, that steak was cooked to perfection and the rolls were just amazing. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!
Delicious black dragon roll, out of control roll, Marlboro roll, ramen and Kobe shrimp. We sat at the bar. Food came out quickly. Lovely for a Saturday afternoon lunch, and wasnât too busy at all.
Had ok service. But two servers were gossiping about another customer near us. Was a bit odd.
There are a lot sushi restaurants around here. You really have to do everything you can to stick out. Kobe hits some good marks just not all of them. Their sushi are good but nothing to write home about. It is definitely good for your occasional visit. Couple of down sides, it is a bit pricey, the presentation is not the most exciting, but it is fine. But the parts that really get me was the service and chopsticks. I walked in and the man at the counter was more interested in counting his tickets then getting me seated right away. Second, if you are going to charge me over $40 for a two person dinner, use real chopsticks NOT take out chopsticks. Chopsticks are part of the experience. Cheap chopsticks are just not for a sit in restaurant and it suggests you are cheap and just want to make quick customers turn around. Which it what happened to us, you guys were happy to feed us and rush us out...
One day my daughter wanted real Ramen and we ended up here. We have been coming a couple times a month since and have never had a bad meal or service. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. I have asked a few times for something different from the menu and have never been disappointed. Would definitely recommend.
I got the calamari appetizer and the shrimp tempura entree and I thought the tempura was very bland on both the shrimp and the calamari. The calamari was tough and tasted like it was frozen and just reheated. The service was good and the staff was friendly. They were able to accommodate seating for our large party of 10,but restaurant policy was to provide only one tab and we had to manually split it, which was confusing and complicated.
